ALC Clinic ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy explains what information we collect through our website (alcclinic.co.nz), how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

- Preferred time to be contacted (morning, afternoon, or evening)

- When you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect anonymised data about how you use our website, including pages visited, time spent on site, and general location (city level). This data does not identify you personally.

In the future, we may use a practice management system (such as Zanda) to manage client records. If you become a client, we will explain how your clinical information is handled at the time of enrolment.

Our website uses cookies to remember your preferences and to collect analytics data.

Data storage and security
Your information is stored securely using the platforms listed above. All data transmitted through our website is encrypted using HTTPS/SSL.
Access to your information is limited to the ALC Clinic team members who need it to respond to your enquiry or manage your subscription.
Account credentials for all platforms are stored in a password manager (1Password) with access limited to authorised team members.
Overseas transfers
Some of the services we use store data outside New Zealand (primarily in the United States). We only use services that maintain appropriate data protection standards. Under the NZ Privacy Act 2020, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a comparable standard when transferred overseas.
Your rights
Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of any information that is inaccurate or incomplete
- Request deletion of your personal information (where we have no legal obligation to retain it)
- Withdraw consent for newsletter emails at any time (use the unsubscribe link in any email, or contact us directly)
To make a request, email us at hello@alcclinic.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days, as required by the Privacy Act.
How long we keep your information

Children
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 years of age.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will change when we do. If we make significant changes, we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
